What we collect
The Curated Weekly collects only minimal information needed to operate the site. Specifically:
- Standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, requested URL, response code, timestamp), retained for 30 days for operational and security purposes.
- Privacy-respecting traffic analytics that count page views in aggregate without setting third-party cookies and without linking visits across sites.
- If you write to us, the information you choose to send.
What we don't collect
We do not run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, social-media tracking widgets, or behavioral profiling tools. We do not sell or rent reader data to any third party. We do not maintain affiliate-link tracking.
Cookies
The Curated Weekly does not set first-party cookies for tracking purposes. We do not set third-party cookies of any kind. The site can be browsed with cookies fully disabled.
Data sharing
We do not share reader data with third parties except as required by law. We have not received and have not complied with any law-enforcement data request. If we ever receive such a request, we will note that fact in this policy as soon as we are legally permitted to do so.
Email addresses sent to us by readers are used only to respond to the reader's message. We do not add reader email addresses to a marketing list or to a third-party email service.
Updates
We will update this policy if our practices change. The effective date at the top of the policy reflects the date of the most recent update.
